Rain deer. That’s what the opening of deer season was like for most regional hunters whose gun season opened this past weekend. We went from hot and dry to cool and wet, wet, wet pretty quickly this year. The crazy weather has impacted hunters ability to get in the woods for the most part, but things will get better. Check the state hunting pamphlets for dates and regulations in your area.
Some really good deer have already been taken by muzzleloaders and archery so far. It is shaping up like a good year.
