That’s the best way to describe today — pretty weak. We didn’t see many ducks flying or hear much shooting. I think it’s that second split “lull” that we often find when the weather is going back and forth from hot and cold and the ducks just get stale.
There aren’t a lot migrating, and the ones around here have found spots to hide out or have been shot at and avoid blinds and decoy spreads. We really need a good wind to get them up and stirring and make them work.
There are still some being killed, but it’s tough and hunters are having to stay in the blind longer. Hang in there. One thing about duck hunter’s; we are always optimistic that it’s gonna get better.
