The first part of the season the gobblers were still with a lot of hens and while that is still the case for some, they are separating more, which is good news for hunters. Gobblers won’t respond well when they are already with the hens. Hens should be heading the the nests the end of this month and some more gobblers should be paying attention to hunter’s calls.

Stay safe out there turkey hunting. Make sure others know where you are and be aware of exactly what you are shooting at and what’s beyond when turkey hunting.

Other states in the area are reporting pretty much the same thing as far as results. We’ll keep you up with what we know. In the meantime, if there is anything you need to make your hunt better, come see us. We are also getting all kinds of ammo in on a regular basis, so come check that out too. Unfortunately, it’s still scarce and we have to limit quantities to make sure everybody gets a shot. Trust us, we’ll be glad when we don’t have to do that either!  Stay safe.
