It was typical for Day Two of the season when there aren’t a lot of ducks. We had some fairly good shooting and shot close to 30 birds, but we killed just about everything that worked the field. It was a dreary morning. It wasn’t dead, but it wasn’t good especially on up in the morning. We heard a few sporadic shots, but there are a lot of geese flying and that might have been what it was.
It seemed slower for everybody. We just didn’t see as many ducks flying as the day before. Hopefully the change in weather will bring a few more ducks in. They are still feeding at night and laying up during the day. It should be cold and windy next week early, so as usual, we are optimistic.
Be safe out there.
