Some guys shot a few ducks this morning, but we went to the wrong end of the field evidently. We did not kill a single duck. We salvaged the morning with seven geese, but that wasn’t what we were after. There are some ducks, we just didn’t have them. From a seven-man limit the day before to zero is a humbling experience. It’s a feeling every duck hunter knows for sure.
This wind and rain Thursday should shake things up. It can’t make it much worse as we head into the last weekend of the first split, so maybe it will make it better. And inch of rain isn’t much, but it will help.
