
Duck season opens Saturday, November 19. Make sure you have all your gear in order and come by and see us if you need anything. While the state duck surveys pointed out an overall lack of ducks except in southeast Louisiana, we have some really good numbers in northeast Louisiana in spots.
The first split in the East Zone ends Dec. 4 and the second split runs Dec. 17-29. Louisiana has returned to two zones, as outlined in the graphic below.
The key is places that have water. And this recent cold front has pushed more birds in as well. There’s a good chance for some great shooting on opening day. As always be safe in your preparations and your hunting.
