Two of Louisiana’s– and America’s — strongest supporters of the Second Amendment and the right for peaceful citizens to bear arms were visitors to Simmons’ Sporting Goods in Bastrop Monday. U.S Senator John Kennedy and U.S. Representative Julia Letlow visited the store, greeted customers and spent a few minutes explaining what they try to do as two popular elected officials in Washington.

Both are running for re-election and the upcoming vote is important for many reasons, including elected officials who are committed to preserving the rights of Americans to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness – which includes the rights to own arms, hunt and fish and enjoy the freedoms of this great country.

We thank them for coming and for listening to and caring about their constituents.
