Cold weather, lots of water and lots of specklebelly geese moving in to northeast Louisiana at least gave hunters something to look at this morning as goose season opened. There was some pretty good shooting! The limit is just two per hunter, so with all the birds, almost everybody we talked to got a limit. A lot of the geese were hard to work after getting shot at a few times, but there are plenty of them here in most places. Duck season is getting close, too . Make sure you are ready. That little cool snap brought a lot of ducks in. Most folks got to trap a lot of their water with the rains and didn’t have to pump, so it’s starting to look good.
If you hunt in a variety of spots and conditions, make sure you check out our inventory of Patternmaster Anaconda Choke Tubes. They can help you be a better duck hunter!
