It was tough today. We didn’t see many ducks or hear much shooting. It was probably the slowest day of the season for us and for a lot of other folks I’ve talked to. We did have ten ducks, a combination of mallards and pintails. I think a lot of the ducks that were here have moved north or south. Some good hunts are still being reported around the Eudora area in Arkansas, but it’s slow here.
We need some more water and maybe this rain that is coming through Thursday night and Friday will do the trick. That will give the ducks more areas to hold up in around the area.
