The weather held out for a while Wednesday morning, but it was another gloomy day. There were a few ducks flying, but hunting is still tough. Not as many ducks as yesterday. The fields are still pretty full of pintails, but as we said yesterday, you can only take one per hunter. It’s still good to see them. Hopefully this weather change that’s coming will mix things up a little bit. It’s getting a little bit colder up north. Hopefully some more birds moving back down.
Those hunting areas that have been seeing less pressure are still producing. There are some good numbers of mallards in the woods, but they are scattered and not flying when the weather is foul.
