The last couple of days gave us hope of a really good hunt today, but you should never let that happen when you are a duck hunter. We killed seven this morning, nothing like what we had hoped for. If we could figure out the “why” about why it is like this, we’d be rich. But that’s why you call it hunting. The past couple of days have been some of the best of the year for us.
It was pretty slow. There wasn’t any wind and even though it was sunny, we didn’t see much action. It wasn’t lights out for sure. Everybody we talked to got seven, five, eight…something like that. We’ve got a little change in the weather coming, but they are backing off on the amount of rain we may see this week. Here’s a quick glance at the weather report, but remember, just like duck hunting….it can change with a minute’s notice!
