There were a good many ducks flying in the area early this morning ahead of the rain, but after it hit, things were pretty slow. We are seeing and hearing a lot more hunters getting some big ducks. This latest round of rain is going to spread them out more than ever. Only the die-hards are sticking it out in this. I used to be one of them but I’ve grown wiser and older.
It’s been a long time since we had this much rain and water the entire duck season. Combined with fewer ducks, it is making it tough. Some of the best holes are producing, but a lot of areas are really struggling.
