I didn’t go today, but one of my partners did. It was pretty bad. They didn’t fire a shot. The report I’m getting is that there is just water everywhere from southern Missouri all the way down to Stuttgart and what ducks we have are scattered everywhere.
The ones that are having luck around here and in southern Arkansas are killing them up in the middle of the day. They just don’t seem to be flying early and those that are won’t work. It’s just not fun having to stay out there all day.
There is hope on the horizon. If you check out the map below, you’ll see lots of temperatures north in the flyway, dipping down into the teens and below. Maybe that will freeze them out up there and they’ll come this way!
