Duck hunting was just so-so for most folks Friday. It was better than some days. Most folks we talked to killed 7-10 ducks, which isn’t bad by normal standards. By this time of year we are hoping for a few more ducks, though.
I will have to say this, we saw lots more ducks Thursday than we did today. It seems like about 50% of the ducks we had out in the field left last night with that north wind. Hopefully they’ll not stray too far and come back into the area. We will have several blinds hunting tomorrow and some of the folks that haven’t been hunting should be back out Saturday and Sunday. It should be a good weekend. Maybe the cold will bring some more mallards on down our way.
