We still have a lot of ducks in the area, but we didn’t have as much pressure on them today so hunting was a bit slower in most areas. Some folks had good success, though. There are lots of folks out on the weekends and that keeps the birds stirred up. AT least it isn’t frozen up, but from the looks of the long-range forecast, we may be seeing more frozen duck decoys in the coming days (see forecast at the bottom).
Hunters are still having some success on up in the day, but also more early in the morning since it isn’t frozen up. We’ve entered the last third of the season. I don’t know where it went, but take advantage of the days we’ve got left.
