We’ve still got some good ducks here this week, but they are tough to work under the conditions — cloudy. There’s a possibility we can get some more with some pretty rough weather sweeping across the middle of the country. We’ll get hit hard Friday and Saturday and some of it will linger into next week. Usually storms above us bring us some more ducks. There’s a downside to that, too. Hopefully it won’t blow our ducks out of here.
A lot of big ducks are still being taken in the woods and a few mallards and pintails are mixed with the teal in the fields. If you hunt during the bad weather, make sure you take precautions and keep an eye on the storms. Friday morning may be our last day to hunt for a bit. It will be Cloudy again, but we should have some wind. Saturday looks like a washout, but after the storms the ducks might be up and moving. It should be cleared up Sunday morning, but there’s lots more rain coming next week.
Be safe out there.
