A little bit of good news: Another cold blast of air is pushing into the flyway to the north of us. Will it be enough to give us a good push of ducks for the last 11 days of the duck season?
Nobody knows that for sure. But we do know there are still a woefully low number of ducks in the area. The report remains pretty much the same. A few folks are killing enough to keep them going. Many folks have just stopped hunting. Normally in the store we are seeing tons of duck hunters coming in for things. Not now. Reportedly there are thousands of ducks stacked up in Missouri, but they have not been pushed south into Arkansas and Louisiana. We are running out of time.
From our standpoint, it is not only bad for hunting, but it’s bad for business. We will hang in here and keep you informed right through Day 60. Stay tuned. Keep your fingers crossed.
