From everybody I talked to today, it was a slow day. There were not near as many ducks in the air today as there have been the last few days, which is kind of surprising. I think it was a combination of not many people hunting to keep them moving and the fact that the ducks are really scattered. They’ve found some areas where they don’t get disturbed, or shot at.
Several groups did kill 15 or 20, but they had to stay on up past noon to do it. It was a slow day.
The weekend should offer some better hunting. With just two weekends left, the hunters will be out and keep the birds moving. There should be some wind tomorrow too instead of the still we had today. That should help.
