When we got to the blind this morning, I wouldn’t have given you fifteen cents for our chances. It was drizzling, cloudy, hardly no wind. And there weren’t any ducks flying. But the eventually got to moving around and five of us got 23 ducks and three specks. Not bad for that kind of morning. We shot more than anybody within hearing distance, but I know some other folks killed ducks too. They are mostly teal now with a few pintails mixed in.
With as much water as we’ve got around, I think we did really good. They can literally go and land almost anywhere. We had that group of specks come in right into the decoys and had them at point black range, but we only got three of the five. Maybe we all shot the same three.
Two more weekends to go. Make the most of it.
