Dove hunters didn’t seem to fare as well in the northern part of the state as in some recent years, but there were still enough birds to keep most hunters busy. One thing most dove hunters didn’t miss out on was the food. Dove hunting not only kicks off the official hunting seasons in Louisiana, it’s also the first big outdoor celebration that involves camp — or at least field…— food.
In case you missed opening weekend, there’s still a lot of dove season left. And there may be more birds later.
