Opening days of the various deer seasons ares fast approaching and so is another big day for deer hunters and other sportsman. If you’ve been blessed with more meat – or fish – than your family can eat, here’s a great way to share it.
Louisiana’s Hunters for the Hungry is hosting it’s annual “Clean Out Your Freezer” days in September. Despite Covid concerns in 2020, the group collected more than 24,000 pounds of venison, fish and other game to be used to help food banks and other worthy charities feed people in need.

Sunday, September 26, 2021 — RUSTON DROP-OFF LOCATION
1:00PM-4:00PM Dubach Deer Factory & Smokehouse, 599 Hwy. 167, Dubach. All items collected will be donated to the Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana and distributed to their local agencies.
September 23-25 — MONROE Area DROP-OFF LOCATIONS:
Saturday, September 25, 10:00am-2:00pm — Delhi Pentecost Tabernacle UPC, 6045 Highway 17
Thursday & Friday, September 23-24 10:00am-2:00pm and Saturday, September 25 1:00pm-3:00pm
Northeast Louisiana Food Bank, 4600 Central Avenue. All items collected will be donated to the Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana and distributed to their local agencies.
