Duck season opens this weekend and if you don’t have everything you need for the opener, come by Simmons’ Sporting Goods and see us. There are a lot of ducks in the area for folks that have water, but there are a lot of dry areas. It will be an interesting opening morning. Duck season opened in the West Zone last Saturday and duck hunting in some parts of southwest Louisiana have been pretty good.
There are a ton of geese in the area here as well, so if duck shooting is a little slow, you might be able to make a good pile of waterfowl with a limit of specks. Be safe out there.
